Undefeated Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin, and featherweight Champion Nonito Donaire both make their return to the ring with much hype surrounding this card, one of the best remaining card's of the boxing year. Golovkin is heavy-handed fighter from Kazakhstan who is now beginning to build a large fanbase for himself. Golovkin has built up a perfect 30-0-0 record, with 27 wins by way of knockout. Coming into this weekend's fight against Mexican slugger Marco Antonio Rubio, (59-6-1, 51 KO's) Golovkin has a knockout streak of 17, having KO'd his last 17 opponents faced. Veteran middleweight Rubio hopes to put an end to Golovkin's undefeated streak, and many boxing experts expect this to be a closer fight than casual fans might expect.

Nonito Donaire, a featherweight champion from the Phillippines will fight on the undercard of the Golovkin-Rubio Main Event, at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Donaire has compiled a professional record of 33-2-0 with 21 KO's. Donaire last fought in May, defeating South African featherweight Simpiwe Vetyeka by way of a controversial technical decision. Donaire hopes for a better showing this time out, but it'll have to come against undefeated Jamaican Nicholas Walters, who has opened up as the favorite in Vegas betting lines, much to the surprise of analysts and boxing fans. Walters is 24-0-0 with 20 KO's and is considered a very dangerous fight for Donaire, who has built the bigger name and fanbase for himself up to this point in both fighter's respective careers. Walters is just 28 though, and his stock could skyrocket with an impressive win over Donaire.

As mentioned, this shapes up as one of the best cards of the year, and has the makings of an action packed event. Both Golovkin and Donaire always bring about much fanfare and this weekend should be no different.
